Admission to Doctoral Studies at a Swiss University
To do Doctoral Studies in Switzerland, you must in any case have a supervisor, who is willing to admit you. To find a potential supervisor in Switzerland for your theses, we recommend contacting a professor known to you by his or her publications or whom you have met at a conference or on an other opportunity.

As soon as you have found a supervisor, who accepts you as a Doctoral candidate, he or she will clarify together with you, whether you can be admitted to the respective university or whether a Joint Doctoral Degree is an option. Joint Doctoral Degrees are based on an Agreement between the respective institutions. Model Agreements can be obtained at CRUS.
Please note, that only universities with the official logo
are allowed to assign official Swiss Doctoral Degrees. Be careful not to chose any ineligible institution.
Admission to a Swiss University on Bachelor or Masters Level
If you want to study on a Bachelor or Masters Level at a Swiss University and you are not sure, whether your diploma will be accepted, you must directly consult the respective university.
