If a regularly employed staff member is not able to work due to an accident and provides the medical certificate stating a period of inability to work and the percentage of this inability, the Accident Insurance (which is automatically paid by the employer) will issue a daily allowance.
If the person is attested 100% unable to work, the daily allowance will cover 80% of the insured net income (Art 17 UVG).
If a person is not in the country during the period of inability to work, daily allowances will also be paid.
